Several people came up speaking Spanish
A strange little moment pushed me into learning Spanish recently. I was helping a friend at a weekend market where he sells handmade stuff, and a lot of visitors were tourists. Several people came up speaking Spanish, and even though they were friendly, I could only smile and point at prices because I didn’t know what to say. It felt kind of frustrating because the conversations were probably simple, but I just didn’t have the words.
