A Mixed Up Clothing Runway and Fashion Show

Mixed Up Clothing is thrilled to present Books and Looks: A Runway and Fashion Show at the Artes, Libros y Cultura event. This runway will feature young multicultural models proudly showcasing outfits inspired by the Latina heritage fabrics while holding their favorite books. As each child walks the runway, their unique outfit and chosen book will highlight the importance of culture, diversity, and reading.

Join us in celebrating the fusion of fashion and literature and be inspired by our vibrant display of multiculturalism.

Founder & Designer of Mixed Up Clothing

Sonia Smith Kang is the AfroLatina founder and designer of Mixed Up Clothing, a children's fashion brand that celebrates diversity and promotes cultural awareness through unique, stylish designs. A proud military brat born in Puerto Rico and stationed on O'ahu, Sonia transitioned from a successful nursing career to fashion to address the lack of multicultural representation in the fashion industry. A proud mom of four multicultural children, she creates vibrant collections inspired by cultures worldwide.
